For the second year running we, Leslie Cornell Building Restoration Ltd, received the award for Best Trade Stand in The Countryside Area 2015.
The stand was the biggest and best so far with our usual cob mixing, cob brick making, the new introduction of clay plastering and a video presentation area for the public to view and participate.
We are always reassured with the response and enthusiasm we receive from the public at the show every year. Knowledge of the sustainable building materials and methods we use are becoming more common place in today’s society and its extremely positive to see and hear so many people, including children talk about Cob and its many many benefits.
Interest in our sustainable materials and ethics came from many organisations and the public including – Cornwall Sustainable Building Trust, Business Cornwall www.businesscornwall.co.uk, The National Trust and numerous homeowners.
We have since the show received lots of praise and enthusiasm in the conservation implemented on historic building in Cornwall. We already thinking about next year’s show and can’t wait to get muddy!
