The quaint part cob and stone built cottage in Truro required internal and external cob repairs and lime applications.
Our clients requested a doorway to be opened up in one of the internal cob walls and exiting porch to be removed, as well as natural slate cills to be installed inside and out. In addition, our proposal included a section of land drainage to assist with limiting the moisture in one of the walls.
Having removed all Cementitious materials from the internal and external elevations we set about introducing a 3 coat Lime Render and Plaster in Truro onto the Cob Walls.
Following the completion of the lime applications, a Breathable Mineral Paint System was used which required a colour match. With assistance from Cornish Lime our Clients were very pleased with the end results and workmanship we provided.
